Series & Chemistry
Selecting a documented series range and chemistry for the battery system.
- BFJ-HMW04S100A013–4S · Li-ion (ternary) / LiFePO4 / Sodium-ion
- BFJ-HDSH04S300A014–8S · Li-ion (ternary) / LiFePO4
Compare two distinct approaches to lead-acid replacement battery projects: a hardware protection board and a smart BMS platform. Select a path based on the documented configuration and integration requirements.
Hardware Protection Board: BFJ-HMW04S100A01 documents a 3–4S hardware protection architecture, Li-ion, LiFePO4 and Sodium-ion configurations, and continuous current up to 100 A. Smart BMS: BFJ-HDSH04S300A01 documents 4–8S Li-ion and LiFePO4 configurations, communication options, and module series and parallel support. These are separate product paths; capabilities must not be transferred between them.
Common project considerations may include chemistry, cell configuration, current and the need for communication or module interconnection. Communication is not documented for the hardware board. Series/parallel support and the heating interface belong to the smart BMS; its continuous operating current requires engineering confirmation. Neither path establishes drop-in compatibility with an existing charger or battery system.
Selecting a documented series range and chemistry for the battery system.
Reviewing the communication interface between the BMS and host equipment.
Confirming the operating current against the selected configuration.
Discussing whether a documented heating capability is relevant to the project.
Reviewing documented parallel capabilities where the battery architecture calls for them.
Considering documented display and Bluetooth options for system interaction.
Discussing low-power behavior where documented for the selected BMS.
2 series with documented application relationships. The two product paths are shown separately below. Review the hardware protection board for its documented protection architecture, and the smart BMS for its documented communication and module-integration functions.
